I Never Know What to Say to You

I discussed this a bit in class on the day that my group presented in front of the whole class, but locally, here in Pennsylvania, there was quite a shenanigan going on concerning a school district down near Philadelphia monitoring its students a little too closely using laptops issued by the district.

Not only did the district install specialized software that allowed them to know what the students were using the machines for and take screen shots of their conversations, but the district was also spying on the students via the webcam.  This is obviously a huge invasion of privacy considering these laptops were used in many students’ bedroom.  I couldn’t find what legal actions have been taken yet, probably because this is still making its way through the justice system.
