Doc Oc?
Many of us are comic book fans, but few will ever be able to experience the weird gadgets or technologies invented in said books. It appears that scientists are attempting to perfect a robotic arm similar to that of Doc Oc in Spiderman comic books. The main purpose behind such a bizarre prototype is to allow for more control over how certain human surgeries are executed and how the body parts involved in these procedures are handled. For example, a brain being handled by human hands or previous surgical robots may be handled a lot more gently by this new robotic arm.
So maybe not quite the same purpose as in the comic books or the movies, but still to aid in field of science.
