WordPress ReDesign

I decided to use tonight as a night to get more comfortable with Photoshop and with WordPress.  I found a new theme and with the help of @bjshively I was able to customize it a bit.  I added in my most used social networks into the WordPress theme.

After finding the new theme, I added a few new widgets and plugins to my site.  The first one is the Lifestream plugin.  This tracks your activity on just about every social networking site you can imagine.  I only have Twitter, TwitPic, XboxLive, Pandora, Last.fm, and Digg enabled on mine, but I thought it was pretty neat.

The final addition to my website was the toolbar on the bottom of the page, a plugin by a company called Wibiya.  This toolbar allowed me to link to my Youtube Channel, gives a Twitter dashboard on the site, built-in site search, easy methods to subscribe to my RSS Feed, and the ability to share my posts or site to many social networking sites.

This was a challenging but fun task as far as WordPress administration goes.  I’m glad to have learned this.
